Rita DeOliveira, MPA, C-TESL
Founder

Rita DeOliveira is an award-winning teacher, blogger and world traveler who loves being at the intersection of business and language learning.  Rita has taught English as a Second Language in a variety of environments, including public schools, private schools, and universities.  She has also taught graduate courses to classroom teachers on theories and methods of Second Language Acquisition.  Rita earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Marist College, and received her TESOL certification from the University of Vermont.

 

Prior to joining the field of TESOL, Rita spent several years managing staff and large-scale initiatives for public, non-profit, and private organizations across the United States.  She has provided consultation on process improvement and team dynamics, and co-designed trainings with federal land management agencies like the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.  Her most recent administrative role was overseeing English Language Education for a large, urban school district in Massachusetts.
